YouTube is officially rebranding BrandConnect to YouTube Creator Partnerships.This isn’t just a name change; it’s a centralized evolution integrated directly into YouTube Studio for creators and Google Ads for advertisers.

  • Gemini-Powered Matching: Advertisers can now use Gemini AI to analyze billions of data points—like subscriber growth and organic mentions—to find the perfect creator matches.
  • Boosted Discoverability: Creators who share channel and audience insights are surfaced 60% more in brand searches.
  • Streamlined Outreach: Brands will soon be able to send inquiries to multiple creators at once and manage brand deal links in one organized place.

🛍️ Earn Earlier: Shopping Affiliate Expansion

In a major move for mid-sized and growing channels, YouTube has lowered the eligibility threshold for the YouTube Shopping affiliate program.

  • The New Milestone: You now only need 500 subscribers (plus standard YPP eligibility) to join the program and start tagging products.
  • Diverse Formats: Eligible creators can tag products across Shorts, VOD, and Live content.

🎞️ The Death of Clickbait? 'Discover videos with Previews'

YouTube is testing a feature called "Discover videos with Previews" on the Android mobile app to help viewers avoid wasting time on misleading content.

  • The Highlights: Selected users will see an "entry card" on their homepage that displays 5 to 10 short, engaging moments from recommended videos.
  • Quick Decisions: Viewers can watch these previews to decide if they want to view the full video, add it to "Watch Later," or skip it entirely.
  • Creator Impact: While great for viewers, this could impact deep engagement if the preview reveals the "best part" (like a tutorial solution) too early.
